Energy Understanding + Flow

For some, when they hear the word yoga, they either think of the super bendy Instagram model moving their bodies into impossible shapes, or the retired hippie sitting cross-legged repeatedly chanting Om. While there are parts of both of these things in my practice, yoga has always been something more. For me, yoga is with me every second of the day, in every breath I take into, and out of my lungs. Yoga is my tether to the Divine for each choice I make; each intention I set. When I find myself lost, as I sometimes do in this human incarnation, I have my yoke, or Union, my YOGA to bring me back to center. Whenever I doubt what the next right step is, I have yoga to guide me towards integrity, honesty, love, and compassion. Yoga frames every word that comes out of my mouth and the reason I speak them out loud.

The greatest blessing of my life came in the form of understanding that everything is Energy. Every single thing can be viewed through the lens of Energy. With that understanding, I see situations, people, relationships, nature and things as they are in their energetic state and therefore, they are malleable. If everything is Energy, then there is always potential for change and growth. This propels my teachings in all areas. It’s never too late for anything and everyone can begin again, in any moment.

Through my life and my experiences as a nurse, I have had the gift of being present for births, deaths, and every stage of humanity in between. Because of that, I know that everyone has things they are working on and things they struggle with. This enables me to speak openly and honestly about the human experience. I have always been drawn to the ways in which people find deep Integrity and meaning despite hardship.

Baked into my perpetual yoga study, is the knowledge that what we do for one, we do for all. This knowing propels me to be of service to the greater good in any way I can be.

All of the ways in which I have met myself through inner work, contemplative practices such as meditation and yoga, and my practice of Energy medicine, are the catalysts to push me to turn around and offer a helping hand to others on the path. I see the things I have learned as light for my lantern. I see myself as a traveler on a mysterious, sometimes dark path. I am holding the lantern, which is the light of consciousness. I feel that it is my duty to turn and light the lanterns of those on the path right behind me. Others who have come before have done this for me in countless ways. Those whose lanterns I light, provide light to others still. This is how we make this world a better place.

My favorite things to feel are devotion, awe, curiosity, reverence, and connection. I strive to embody these states in my teaching of Yoga and Reiki. I wish to be of service to others on a deep heart level. I also wish to empower others so they can help themselves and then help others, in turn.

I want students to have a transformational experience when they practice with me. I draw on many different lineages to teach from. All of it stems from my own daily practice and connection to the parts of this human experience that can’t always be seen with the naked eye. I want students to leave feeling hopeful that they can do the difficult things it takes to live in a conscious way, as well as feeling rejuvenated, and full, from the inside out.

I am always open to, and watching for, the Blessings and Miracles of this life. I see them everywhere. I have challenges and face hardship, just like everyone. But I am convinced that everything that happens is happening for our growth and ultimately to serve the Universal Love that gives us all life and that is operating behind the scenes at all times.

I can’t wait to see who the Universe sends my way and the amazing work we do together. I am open to all of it.

In Loving Service to Good,

Aynsley
